Winners!

It’s energizing to be around winners!  Their positive, can-do attitudes will change the chemistry in a room. More importantly, winners will drive the success of a business.

I enjoyed spending an evening with two of our very own winners: Sueanna Nelson and Michael Munns of the West Palm Beach team.  They, along with their team of talented workers, have turned Village Walk of Wellington into a nationally-recognized, award-winning property. On this evening, they came to present this prestigious award to the property manager and community at their annual budget board meeting. They did the hard work of creating a premier property and I had the privilege of sharing the honor with the community.

When you’re a winner, others win too. For example, the property manager commented how this makes his work look even better and shines a positive light on the dedicated efforts of the board. Winners love to be with other winners.

Then there are the obvious benefits of how award-winning work encourages others to aspire to the same result. Winning is contagious!  It’s already evident that this win will contribute to others down the road.

For the moment, however, it’s simply gratifying to pause and raise a toast to the winners among us.  As Suenna told the group, “I pour love into my work and making your community more beautiful”. Winners invest themselves in worthwhile outcomes; they care more than the average person.

Moments like this make the long, hot, humid and insect-filled Florida summer more bearable.  Winners attract fans and, in turn, fans build lasting relationships with them. Isn’t winning wonderful?
