True Strength

January 18, 2021

Define Strength. What appears strong to you? Is it the body-builder? Or the professional athlete? Is it buildings of steel and concrete? Or might it be something else?

It could be, but there are three manifestations of strength that resonate with with me:

  • Physical Strength. This is the one we can see — and the intensity we can feel. It is young, elastic and dramatically impacts whatever it encounters. It lifts and drives opposing forces backward. It lasts but a season.
  • Emotional Strength. It is the stuff of parents and of teachers. It is reinforcing, adaptive and sustains our efforts. It infuses a team with motivation and drive. It is the unstoppable force of a Momma Bear.
  • Moral Strength. This is the force of generations, of eternity. It is the core of beliefs that elevates our actions from optional to absolute. It determines our potential to fulfill our purpose. It is our highest strength.

True Strength isn’t loud and it’s not expectant. But it is formidable. It is relentless, like the tide. And it will ALWAYS win….

Tempus Maximize!

Thank you for the great reminder to be like water! A river cuts its way through stone, not by shear force but persistence.

Mike, thank you for joining the conversation. You are so right; it’s steadfast persistence that makes the difference. Thanks,
      Bill
