Picture Window

February 8, 2019
Sometimes the way we see the world through a window captures the essence of the moment.  When you capture it just right, you may wonder if the image is “real” or if it’s a “painting”.  Our world is incredibly busy, yet also incredibly beautiful – if you pause to frame the moments it offers and then appreciate them.

I love farms, I admire horses and I am humbled by our natural environment. When all three elements come together in a moment and I’m lucky enough to capture them in a picture, I am moved. What moves you?

Every day offers something of beauty, but it doesn’t always leap up in front of you. To “see” it requires a pause and a moment of reflection. It’s worth that pause; otherwise, you’ll miss it.  And to miss such moments is to miss out on the richness of your life.

    Bill,
Since you wrote this I have been consciously looking for moments that move, or inspire me in my day-to-day. Preceding a meeting Friday morning I took notice of something, but in my haste I was tempted to rush through it without taking a closer look. But, I thought of this post, then soaked it in for several minutes.
When I think back to Friday, spending those six or seven minutes “noticing” is my favorite memory from that day.
Thank you for this simple advice!
    Ben
