Aim High(er)

A creative and caring friend shared a concept of what it takes to truly “Maximize the Moment”. To do so requires a deliberate focus not to merely Aim High, but to consistently Aim Higher.

When shooting at a lofty target, it’s easy to miss. The arc of the shot is amplified by height and distance. To aim high doesn’t accurately frame a distant target.

To aim higher, however, suggests a progressive approach. As you focus on what you can see, and then apply disciplined action to reaching that level, the ability to see even further emerges. It becomes possible to reach ”A Higher Level”.

The “secret”, to the extent there is one, lies in continuous improvement. There’s no magic formula, no set way to go about it. American author and humorist, Mark Twain, said it this way:

“Continuous improvement is better than delayed perfection.”

To improve continuously is to aim higher. To aim higher is to Maximize the Moment.
